U6 2010 TimBits Soccer Program

Welcome to all parents and athletes to the Beaver Valley Soccer Club 2010 U6 Tim Bits program.
We have 100 athletes registered this year! Last year we had 100, 2008 - 50 and 2007 - 26!
The U6 program is split into 2 groups: U3-4 and U5-6.
Thank you to Heather Acres for putting the teams together and Stephanie Woodhouse for preparing the snack/coach schedule. . The teams will be posted on the website www.bvaa.ca – Soccer site.
Fields & Program
The entire U6 program (U3-4 and U5-6) will practice every Wednesday 6-7 PM at the Tomahawk Mini Fields D and E. Each mini field will have skill stations set up to rotate the teams through each week. The U5-6 will have some small sided game action each week. The smooth running of this program will depend immensely on parent help. Thank you to the following coaches who will head up the 2010 program: U3-4 coaches Mike Ready, Katherine Burnham and Greg Whitman and U5-6 coaches Becky Koch, Andrea Nicholls, and Allan Crandlemire. They will be in charge each week to set up the skill stations and they will rely on a parent to help each week to guide a team through each station. A parent has been assigned to help each week – please check the attached for your duty time. If you are unable to help the week that you are assigned it is up to you to find a replacement or switch with another parent.
***Parents - Please help the coaches each week to bring the equipment from the sheds and to set up and also to clean up and put everything away!
Wednesday, June 2nd
This is the first day of the U6 program. Please plan to arrive by 5:15 PM. Uniforms will be handed out. We will have stations set up at Tomahawk to hand out the Tim Horton’s jerseys, socks and baseball caps to each athlete. The kids will keep all items – they do not need to be returned! Shin guards are mandatory for all players. These can be purchased at a retail store.
Registration form: Attached is the OSA form – ALL players must complete this form and hand in June 2nd.
Individual & Group Photo
Photos will be taken June 2nd, starting at 5:30 PM. An individual photo will be taken of each child to be given to the child. One large group photo will be taken of the entire U6 program at approx 6:30 PM to be given to Tim Horton’s Thornbury. Bring your cameras! Please advise us at the field if you do not want your child in any of these pictures as they will be used in the newspaper and/or the website.
Attached is the order form if you wish to order any additional photos. Please hand into Wendy Webb and pay her directly on June 2nd.
Once we are finished handing out the uniforms and the taken the pictures there will be a little bit of time for soccer. The coaches will take the Tim Bits players through a few of the stations. Please provide your own for your child snacks for June 2nd!
