Soccer Camp – Our 3rd Annual Camp is the week of July 19th! Vito and his coaches are looking forward and can not wait to come back to Thornbury! I heard he has a waiting list of coaches asking to coach the camp!! Registration deadline is March 31st. Late fee will apply April 1st. Registration form can be filled out on the website – go to the soccer site! www.bvaa.ca – soccer
Soccer Coaches & Assistants are needed – Anyone who is interested in coaching a soccer team must complete the Volunteer form - go to the BVAA website to the Documents/Downloads http://www.bvaa.ca/documents.cfm?categoryid=1 and fill out the Volunteer Application form and drop off to 165 Napier St or mail to BVAA Box 213 Clarksburg N0H 1J0. These are needed immediately. Any coaches interested in taking their Level 1, 2 or 3 certificates are encouraged to contact Head Coach, Peter Hibbard. Soccer Referee – To all returning referees, Chris Cottle will be running the below sessions to help further your training. We are also looking for new referees – parents, teenagers – please contact Chris if you are interested in becoming a referee (all coaches are encouraged to take the course as this helps you with learning the game and rules). All teams are established to make them as equal as possible. Once coaches are put in place for all the teams an email will be sent out to all coaches with information about the draft.

Many meetings with SWRSA, GBYSL and our own Club have already been taking place over the past 3 months to prepare for the 2010 season. If you are able and willing to help in some way with the soccer program please let me know.
The Town of the Blue Mountains will have our new Tomahawk Mini Fields ready for the 2010 season! All Thornbury games for U6 – U18 will be at Tomahawk this year. Bayview will still be used for practice nights.
