TimBits Thornbury Soccer 2010 Program

Children 3-6 Years Old
We are pleased to announce Tim Horton's will once again sponsor our U6 soccer program here in Thornbury. This year each athlete will receive a Tim Horton's jersey, ball cap and a pair of socks to keep (they do not need to be returned). We do not provide shorts, cleats or shinguards. Shinguards are mandatory to play. Children at this age are fine in a pair of running shoes or cleats.
Practice is held each Wednesday starting June 2nd at Tomahawk Mini Fields from 6-7 PM. The program will end August 11th.
Two groups will be set up - U3/4 (Born 2006-07) and U5/6 (Born 2004-05). Within these two groups the children will be put on 5 different coloured teams. The teams will rotate through different skill stations set up each week. U3/4 will be on one mini field and the U5/6 will be on the other.
In order to run this program, we require 2 parents to be TimBits Head Coaches - one to head up the U3/4 group and the other for the U5/6 group. Each coach will be responsible to set up the teams within their age group, set up/take down the drill stations each week, rotate each team through the stations each week, set up a parent 'team coach' schedule for each team. A parent must be designated each week to be in charge of their child's team to take them through the drills and to provide a break snack.
